After graduating from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, Phil taught Russian language and literature courses there for two years.

In 1991, Phil joined the GOAL Team, providing technical support, writing documentation, and maintaining Goal Eyecare Software. After two years, he formed his own software company, while keeping Goal his top priority.

As president of Lunar Code Corporation, Phil heads development of Goal Eyecare Software and Goal Electronic Claims. Though he spends most of his time behind the scenes, he appreciates the opportunity to meet doctors and staff at conventions and user group meetings.

Phil and his wife, Kym, reside in McHenry, Illinois.
